It's been a dream of mine to craft and offer a botanical first aid formula rooted in Brazilian soil and I couldn't be happier to offer it again since its release last year! So consider this my version of folk inspired medicine for the contemporary heart.

My love for Cordia only grows ... Cordia plant, known as 'whaler's herb', is very prevalent along the southeastern coast of Brazil and has long held a place in alternative medicine as an effective anti-inflammatory for internal and external use for various types of inflammatory diseases. Its popular name comes from being one of the primary plants used by the fishermen when they got hurt. I personally love to pronounce "erva baleeira"... there's a cadence to it that makes you want say it slowly, with a certain depth when you pronounce the vowels. Plant language. ♡

Common use for Cordia (imagine that only now big pharma is catching up and recognizing its medicine!) includes: rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis, sciatica, bruising, fibromyalgia, rheumatism, the list goes on... In the Brazilian Amazon forest, indigenous tribes usually prepare an infusion with the leaves for the treatment of infections of all types.

Copaiba! Its oil has a long history of health promotion among the indigenous people of Amazon. Earthy, exotic, sensual and warm, Copaiba is a vital tree that supports the body, mind & spirit. Among the traditional people it was often used for:

- reflection, introspection while supporting focused attention and tranquility,

- emotional well being,

- topical use as a potent anti-inflammatory, antibacterial + antiseptic remedy that is very cooling + soothing.

Used along with Cordia, Brazilian Arnica + Arnica Montana it becomes a traditional first aid formula that our ancestors relied on for prosperous and vibrant day to day health.

This is my oil of choice to treat bruises and wounds on myself and my children. The oil / balm is very nourishing, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing to the skin... Sometimes I find myself adding a bit to my pulses and temples for an olfactory experience.

I sincerely hope you welcome these creations with an open heart and embrace the healing potential they carry within.
